The ADAA operates without government funding and relies solely on volunteers, donations and fundraising efforts to continue providing assessments, support to teams, and education to service providers. Please check below regularly for any roles that become available within the charity.

Volunteer Partnership Assessor

UK wide​

Role description: 

​

Assessing dog and handler teams to qualify them for full public access.

 

 

Experience and qualities needed:
 

  • Experience in training assistance dogs using up to date methods.
     

  • A passion for force free, science based training methods
     

  • Excellent communication skills
     

  • Ability to assess and evaluate dogs' behaviour, body language, temperament, and training in various environments.
     

  • Willingness to undergo training provided by the Assistance Dog Assessment Association.
     

  • Ability to be flexible schedule for assessments, which may include evenings or weekends.​

What the Applicant Will Gain:
